Form I-9 Notary & Authorized Representative Services

Authorized I-9 Representative Service
An On Call & Mobile I-9 Authorized Representative will inspect your identification and employment documents in person.
Form I-9, or the Employment Eligibility Verification, is a United States Citizenship and Immigration Services form. The identification verifies the identity and legal authorization to work of all paid employees in the United States.
All U.S. employers must ensure proper completion of Form I-9 for each individual they hire for employment in the United States.
Employees must complete Section 1 of the form upon commencing employment. Section 2 of the I9 is the responsibility of the Notary to complete.
What to Bring To I-9 Appointment With A Notary
Employees must provide documentation to show their identity and authorization to work. A list of acceptable documents/identification is on the third page of your I9 form.
- All documents/identification must be UNEXPIRED.
- Choose one of the documents/identification under List A or choose a combination of one from List B and List C
- You need only one from List A, for example, a U.S. Passport or Permanent Residence Card.
- If you didn’t have a document/identification from List A, you would need to provide two forms of documentation/identification, like a Driver’s License from List B and a Social Security Card from List C.

Does I-9 Require Notarization?
The I-9 form itself does not require notarization. Still, employers often ask or require notaries to fill out these forms under the impression that a notary public should authenticate the verification of identification requirements near you.
