Apostilles Not Accepted – Authentications Are

Some countries are not members of the Hague Apostille Convention of 1961, which means they do not accept apostilles as a form of document authentication. Instead, documents destined for these nations require authentication and legalization through a multi-step process that may include notarization, state certification, U.S. Department of State authentication, and embassy or consulate legalization.
Because membership can change over time, always check the official Hague Conference list for the most current information.
OnCall & Mobile Notary can help ensure your documents are accepted abroad.
